Susan and Jarrett are effortlessly cool. Between slinging jokes, there is a deep affection between them, and every aspect of their wedding day highlighted this fact.
Classic architecture is so beautiful, so you can imagine that this Carnegie building wedding was a dream to shoot; marble staircases, dark wood, old glass windows. Plus, one of the things I love most about weddings is seeing how the couple incorporates unique parts of their personalities into the day itself. Hanging out while the ladies got ready was a perfect example of this: the three of them ordered sandwiches from Jimmy John’s (which is where Susan and Jarrett met, and she knew his sandwich order by heart, which in my book is true love), while Jarrett went to Mass. Street to meet up with some of his friends before coming back to get ready. In lieu of a big wedding cake, they instead had chocolate chip cookies set up under a small cake, with two adorable cats on top proclaiming “Just Married.” Their spread came from Chipotle (which is brilliant), and their dance playlist was an eclectic mix of 1960’s British rock (check out the photo of them doing their best Mick Jagger impersonations!) and the kind of pop and R&B that graced high school dance floors during the early 2000’s.
We had such an amazing time working with these two, and could not be happier for them. Thank you both for the hugs, laughter, and guacamole!
