Cheng and Shulin were so much fun to work with on their KU wedding photography session in Lawrence! This couple met in Murphy Hall, where Shulin has been studying piano performance. Cheng, smart man that he is, saw this opportunity to ask Shulin to give him piano lessons (though he later admitted it wasn’t so much the lessons he was interested in).
Having fallen in love at KU, it was important to them that their photos featured the campus, especially the architecture. It was hard to narrow it down to only a few locations, but we ended up starting the KU wedding photography session outside the Natural History Museum. After that, we took photos by Watson Library and Danforth Chapel, and eventually drove down to Potter Lake and the Campanile for some of that gorgeous evening light you can only find in Lawrence in the summer time. Shulin specifically wanted some photos with warm backlighting, so we were happy to oblige!
The photos from this portrait session will be on display for their families during two separate wedding receptions in China this year, which we are so excited about! We couldn’t be more happy with the photos, and are glad to help Cheng and Shulin share this part of their story with their family.
Congratulations, you two!
