It is always so fascinating to learn how two people’s paths converged, how they were led to each other. For Isaac and Lisa, their love story has taken them to different, iconic parts of Lawrence, KS: watching basketball games at Allen Fieldhouse, working in the Carruth O’Leary building on the KU campus, and the Lawrence Municipal Airport.
As many love stories go, theirs was not a direct path to realizing they were meant for each other. They happened to work in the same building, a couple cubicles down from each other, but Lisa later left for a job in Kansas City. Isaac, a major sports fan (he plays in two football leagues!), was needing to drop off Dick Vitale at the airport here in town (which is owned by Lisa’s father), and he used that as an excuse to strike up conversation with her. It was only a matter of time before they were attending basketball games together, going on their first official date, and quickly realizing that they had found their missing piece.
We joined them and their three dogs for a Lawrence airport engagement session on a windy Spring day (look at that gorgeous mane of red hair!), which also took us to the KU campus. They could not have chosen better locations to showcase their story, and we can’t wait for their wedding this June!
The KU Campanile is a popular spot for photos, and it’s no surprise: it’s beautiful every time of year. Check out this winter engagement session!
